Oppressed caste people, who often themselves practice caste, are called “Sudra”. The term means “knowledgeless menials” and “the nothing people”. From history to present, caste hegemony has been erasing, stealing, and appropriating oppressed caste cultures to mobilize the oppressed as inferior subjects in Hindu-religious totalitarianism. 

I was born in a Sudra society.

Most Sudras are adherent subjects of religious totalitarianism and they hide their own erasure. In a conversation with me, an elder close to me, accidentally reveals that his gods now are different from what he grew up worshipping. I quickly get him a sketchbook and pencil, asking him to draw the god(s) he has abandoned...
